won't be going to visit e residents today, bcos have to prep for midterms coming mon-wed. they'll be having a big cny celebration today! i hope it'll mke them feel happy n smile like this. :D

last saturday we had a small cny celebration with the residents from our ward. we played a special chinese bingo tt had pictures of all e 12 animals n other chinese characters, and later had a mini competition peeling mandarin oranges. sm of the volunteers brought goodies for the residents like love letters, kueh balu, cookies etc. though it isn't much, i think its nice to have this for them, bcos many of them don't have their family to celebrate cny with.

haven't finished my essay for e duo award for sep to europe unis. gt stuck halfway n i dunno what to write...grrrrr...


recess week's here. :D HAHAHA!

went to watch 2 movies last friday: Valentine's Day and Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief. they were very nice, haha. :) had a free movie pass from my sis, n $3 for the second movie from nus. met up with jocelyn at night; haven't seen her for a v long time le!

chinese new year was OKAY, but i was v lazy so didn't do much work during the weekend. had visitors coming for day 1 & 2, n went to my aunt's home yesterday. had a nice reunion dinner too! we had e usual for every year- braised duck, steamed chicken, pork, mushroom, curry chicken etc, n my mom spend a lot of time n effort preparing it. i oni helped with carrying n later washing the dishes, hehe.

the mid-terms are coming n i haven't prepared yet. mus start on rev soon!


its monday. many people have monday blues but i'm glad i don't! :)

have been eating v unhealthy but nice fast food e past 2 weekends. on sunday yesterday, i had kfc's fortune feast with my ma and sisters. home delivery. e chicken tastes crispy and hot and nice, quite different from what i last remembered bk when i was working. and the sunday before last, i had pizzas! one is hawaiian and the other is bbq sausage, from pizza hut. plus spicy drumlets. MMMM, hahaha gooddddd! :)

went to visit the residents on saturday. played chess and talked to them. the saturday before last, we brought them to NUS for Con Amore. its an annual event by nussu's volunteer action committee, and we play games together with the residents from imh as well as 2 other beneficiaries--WMH and MINDS. was esp tired that day because had to keep moving around to different stations. but e residents weren't tired, or at least they claimed they weren't, haha. they hardly ever get to go out except for those whose family members have applied for home leave for them, so its a pretty good day for them.
