have been pondering abt being a volunteer. still nt too sure, bcos have a lot of doubts abt my ability... i had wanted to start something meaningful, n volunteering at imh appealed most, among a few. talking to e patients, playing with them n bringing them a little happiness, that's what i would like to do. i would like to, but i dont know if i can commit long-term, given that i'm nt doing particularly well academically.

but if i do decide to do it, it'll be permanent. for them n for myself, i don't want it to be just temporary, be someone who won't care abt them anymore, n leave as i wish. its important to me, as well, that with those whom i get to know, they'll be friends for life.

i'd looked at several organisations, the HCA (which cares for the terminally ill), the Autism Association, n SPD (which cares for the physically diabled). i don't think i'm ready for the first two, bcos i couldn't bear it seeing others suffer, that was what i had seen with my grandfather. i'll probably deny it if u ask, but yup, i'll cry when e time comes for someone to leave.

with school still central n of primary importance, i simply don't know if i can manage doing both well at e same time. what if i don't, or can't?
