idling away at home! :)

school's a week away, n so's National Day! have very fond memories of NDP in pri n sec sch. back in pri sch, always loved the national day celebrations, bcos it always involved a lot of singing, freebies n not to mention half-days! somehow the newer ndp songs heard on e telly n radio nw aren't as sweet as the older ones; be it count on me s'pore, home etc etc.

i'll never forget the year of 2003- when i was only sec one, n our sch participated in the mass dance! the learning n coordinating process isn't as fun as others like to believe; 2 or 3 days a week, we stay aft sch to practise til evening. n because we wore tags on our front n back with a 3-digit number, the instructors could spot e weaker ones n pull them out for extra lessons. i rmbr tt i was called once; haha so embarrassing!

we all dragged our feet during practices, having to stand under e sun for a few hrs every session, sweating under e heat n our running. but at the end, all those became precious, happy memories, a once in a lifetime experience. :)

i love my island nation, n the peace n stability it has given me throughout my childhood! happy 44th birthday!
